I’ve always been into art and illustration, which led me to study Fine Art, Graphics and Photography at Camberwell School of Art in London. That passion for creativity — and especially Hip-Hop inspired art and design — shaped everything I’ve done since.
Hip-Hop has been a major influence on my work. My first project, the GoldenEra Hip-Hop stamp collection, was inspired by the culture and even caught the attention of artists like Chuck D, Kool Keith, Maseo and Keith Murray. That support gave me the push to keep going and was the start of what is now Madina — my design company and online shop.
Since then, I’ve expanded my range of Hip-Hop inspired art, prints and products each year. I work with local, independent suppliers for printing and production to keep things authentic and support other small businesses.
Right now, I’m on a mission to get my GoldenEra stamp print signed by all the living artists featured in the collection — a project that connects my work directly back to the culture that inspired it.
