Chuck D & Flav Pt 2 – Public Enemy, The Brighton Dome, 29 Oct 2012:
Managed to get on the guest list for the Public Enemy gig in Brighton at the Dome, a gift from chuck himself, WOW! Me and my brother Dwella, who seems to be enjoying meeting these guys as much as me, literally bum-rushed his hotel. His brother Eric, gave us directions to the hotel.
In the bar, we were greeted as the ‘Culmers’ and Chuck signed some prints and canvases, that I have been able to share in comps with Madina followers. It was a huge show, everybody in the Dome went nuts for the whole duration. PE were as energetic as when I saw them 20+ years ago. DJ Lord was masterful on the decks.
Later managed to get backstage and get canvases signed by Flav and Chuck. Thanks to Eric for the tip off on the hotel, although I did literally give him the jacket off my back, that he took a liking to, by way of thanks. Thanks too to Emsy Bebop for taking the pics of me and my brother.
